Sea Fishing
There is no charge for fishing from the beaches of Skegness and as far as we are aware no license is required. The local coast is not gifted with prize catches but good fish have been caught. Bait is lug-worm dug from the local beach at low tide. Heavy tackle is required due to the need to long-cast into deep water. A spiked ledger is required to resist the strong currents. The most popular time to fish is 2 hours before and after high tide.
Fresh Water Fishing
There are numerous well stocked lakes fisheries, rivers and drains around the area with a little of everything to challenge lovers of course fishing. Most lakes are associated with caravan holiday homes, and facilities for touring caravans. Most provide access to general public, but please enquire prior to fishing.
